A television reporter has upset enthusiasts in Denmark by posing as one of them to expose malpractice at a depot run by one of the country's largest operators. The TV2 station sent the journalist to the Clostrup depot of City Trafik, owned by French group Keolis, following an anonymous tip-off that costs were being cut by not changing diesel particulate filters in line with maintenance guidelines. He described himself to viewers as a 'bus geek' and quizzed staff. Using a hidden camera he filmed fitters changing a filter on a Volvo before a routine emissions test and replacing it with a contaminated, used filter after the vehicle was given a clean bill of health. The bus then returned to regular service. City Trafik has pledged tighter controls.
