Sad and truncated end for a former Midland Red trunk route

An era ended on 4 September, the last day of the direct bus service between Birmingham and Kidderminster after nearly a century of operation. Midland Red began this route with Tilling-Stevens petrol-electric single-deckers in 1914 and as with other Midland Red (BMMO) routes, the dislike of the military in World War 1 for petrol-electrics saved these buses from being requisitioned.
