Over 50 buses of contract losses for Metroline

Metroline has lost work for over 50 buses in one of the latest tendered service contract announcements. Six of its routes had come up for retender, and three were lost. Busiest is the 24hr 266 (Brent Cross-Hammersmith) needing 25 double-deckers. Continuing its recent tender gains elsewhere in London, First CentreWest has won this, with the same number of new double-deckers. It has also won the 206 (Kilburn Park-Brent Park St Raphael's) from Metroline with 10 new single-deckers, two more buses than now.
