Stagecoach restructures its North West companies

Stagecoach reorganised its bus operations in north-west England from 1 September, with new managing directors in charge of two renamed businesses. Stagecoach North West and Stagecoach Merseyside both disappear as separate businesses. The northern part of Stagecoach North West has become Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire, with depots at Carlisle, West Cumbria, Kendal, Barrow and Lancaster. Merseyside - the Gillmoss, Liverpool-based Clenvale company acquired in 2005 - is amalgamated with the remainder of North West to become Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire, with Gillmoss managed along with the central Lancashire depots in Preston and Chorley.
