New double-deckers are on order for the North Wales coast as Arriva responds to growing passenger numbers. Ten Wright Gemini 2DL integrals have been ordered for the 11/11C/ X11 (Rhyl-Holywell-Chester) route. Arriva Buses Wales plans to order a second batch, probably 16, for route 12 (Rhyl-Llandudno). All 26 will offer passengers free WiFi access. Managing director Michael Morton hopes the 12 would get its new vehicles by the middle of next year, but they might be used in London first on Olympic Games services.
