Like their predecessor volumes reviewed in past issues of Buses, these books are best appreciated by those fluent in Chinese languages, as English text is minimal in both - captions in the Volvo book and some introductory words in the Review of 2010. However, even if your linguistic skills let you down in this department, both are copiously illustrated, mainly in colour, and not just with Hong Kong buses. The Volvo book, telling the story of all types operated in Hong Kong from Ailsa to B9TL, includes photographs of examples in Britain and devotes a chapter to Super Olympians in Singapore. The Hong Kong book looks at the changing bus scene in Macao, preserved buses in the UK and includes a photo feature on last year's Euro Bus Expo show in Birmingham.
