Thirty-four years ago, geoffrey Smith produced what counted as a definitive illustrated history of Potteries Motor Traction for Venture's forerunner, the Transport Publishing Company. It sold for £7.95, which sounds a bargain in today's money but such has been the rate of inflation in some bus book prices that it would equate to over £40 in 2011.
