McGills Growing fast by quality

A Striking Recent Development in the Scottish bus industry is the rapid expansion of McGill's Bus Service from 33 secondhand minibuses at the start of operations on 30 June 2001 to a fleet of over 150, many bought new, mostly low-floor and increasingly double-deck. It has overtaken West Coast Motors to become the country's largest independent, will have nearly the same number of buses as Arriva Scotland West and almost twice as many as National Express Dundee. In Scotland, only First, Stagecoach and Lothian have bigger fleets, and McGill's intends to grow bigger still.
