Essex routes given up in face of competition

Arriva-owned TGM Group has given up two long-established routes in Essex in the face of increased competition from independent operator SM Coaches. On 7 February, it ceased operating hourly services 500 (Harlow-Epping) and 501 (Harlow-Ongar) on Mondays to Saturdays, but is continuing the Sunday 501 service. The 500 developed out of former London Transport route 250 (Epping-Romford).
