No bus can be made 100% accident proof

Reading Tony Olsson's letter about the New Bus for London (You Write last month) stirred up a variety of emotions. My heart goes out to anyone who has received what appear to have been life-threatening injuries in any form of accident. I am delighted that he survived and sincerely hope that almost 40 years later he has made a complete recovery. However, my initial sympathy soon began to dissipate and by the end of his letter I felt irate.
