Kiwi tie-up gives Alexande Dennis export boost

Alexander dennis has made a major step in achieving its export ambitions by winning a ￡25million order for 120 Enviro200 Darts from NZ Bus, the former Stagecoach business in New Zealand. The buses, to be supplied over the next 18 months, will be assembled from chassis and body kits shipped to bus and coach bodybuilder Kiwi Bus Builders at a new facility being built at Tauranga, Bay of Plenty on New Zealand's North Island. 'Given time, we will progressively source more and more parts locally, which will intensify opportunities for New Zealand's supplier base,' says Alexander Dennis chief executive Colin Robertson.
