NatEx Dundee director quits in wake of criticism

National Express Dundee director Lawrence Davie resigned in December, four months after comments attributed to him in the city's main newspaper drew widespread criticism. Asked to justify service changes implemented last summer Davie (50), who took up the post in 2008 after a career in the oil-related engineering industry, was quoted saying that commuters provided the vast majority of the former municipal undertaking's income but that most complaints came from 'passengers in the 70-plus age bracket'... [who] tended to want a doorstep service'.
