FoKAB seeks new home for future activities

Friends Of King Alfred Buses Is Urgently seeking a new base to house, restore and maintain four or five of its vehicles after being given notice to quit its temporary home in the former central works behind Winchester bus station.Stagecoach has provided FoKAB with the premises for the past nine years pending the start of long standing proposals to redevelop the bus station. However, structural problems with the building have compelled Stagecoach to terminate the arrangement early in 2011, soon after the annual Winchester New Year vintage bus running day on 2 January. If it is unable to find new premises, there is a danger that this coming running day could be the last.
