If you know Michael Baker's work, you will know what to expect in this little book: well written, sometimes humorous and occasionally off-at-a-tangent words that are authoritative and at times opinionated; colour and black and white pictures showing buses from many angles and often with lots of background, too.He relates the frequently told story of the London Routemaster in a way that will engage enthusiasts and, although it is laced with bonnet numbers, technical terms and names largely unknown to a more general audience, it is written in a way that may possibly also appeal to those with a more passing than diehard interest in buses.
