Keighley trolleybus helps mark 80th anniversary

The vehicle believed to be the world's oldest surviving double-deck trolleybus, Keighley Corporation Tramways No.5 (WT 7101), was one of the big attractions at a gathering in the town's College Campus on 9 September to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of municipal transport in Keighley in 1932. The 1924 Brush-bodied Straker-Clough operated solely between Ingrow Bridge, Utley and Stockbridge until the trolleybus system closed and the new jointly owned motorbus company, Keighley-West Yorkshire Services, started in 1 932.
