Madrid goes hybrid gas, Dijon takes BAE system

Empresa Municipal de Transportes de Madrid has ordered its first batches of innovative compressed natural gas (CNG) hybrids for the Spanish capital, while Dijon has placed the largest French order so far for diesel-electric hybrids. The buses are lighter than diesel-electrics and do away with the need for complex diesel exhaust after treatment. They will operate in a new city centre low emission zone (LEZ).
