The Sheffield Bus Partnership is a voluntary agreement between Travel South Yorkshire (PTE), Sheffield City Council and four bus operators - First, Stagecoach, Wellglade- owned TM Travel and Sheffield Community Transport. It aims to provide a coordinated bus and tram network with joint ticketing between operators, simplifying services and ensuring a fairer spread of bus provision across the city. Provisional implementation date is October. Following the announcement of the proposed new network in early June, a four-week consultation period ran from 1 8 June to 14 July with all interested parties, i.e. bus users, local businesses and community groups being encouraged to comment on the proposals.
