Arriva to quit Scotland with sale to McGill's

Arriva has reached an agreement to sell its isolated Scottish bus operations to McGill's Bus Service, with a targeted completion date in late March.The deal would see Greenock-based McGill's - created in 2001 to take over Arriva's services in Greenock, Gourock and Port Glasgow, and now run by former Arriva Scotland West managing director Ralph Roberts - acquire the remaining Renfrewshire operations run from depots in Johnstone and Inchinnan, which serve Glasgow, Paisley and Erskine.
