I was fascinated to read the article, The Ultimate Bus Test, by David Jenkins (October Buses). It certainly dispels some myths relating to the worsening of bus services in the United Kingdom, particularly those of an interurban nature. You may be interested to note that, since publication, two Stagecoach Bluebird services used in the bus ride have been improved. The route between Inverness and Aberdeen has received nine new Volvo B9R/Plaxton Panther coaches fitted with toilets, similar to the one pictured by Alistair Train in the article.
