Scottish Vintage Bus Museum members took two of Edinburgh Corporation's tram replacement buses on a tour of some of their old haunts in the city on 29 October. Duple/Nudd-bodied Guy Arab 314 (JWS 594) was one of 60 ex-London Transport Arab II utilities reconditioned and fitted with new 8ft-wide 55-seat lightweight bodies. Duple built the first two bodies at Hendon in 1 952/53, while the others — including 314 — were delivered in 1953 with bottom decks built in Hendon and top decks made at Kegworth by Nudd Brothers & Lockyer, which later became Duple Midland.
