What is wrong with seeking an idealised world?

It is pleasing that my article in August Buses has stimulated some correspondence in October You Write, though a pity not from the industry itself. That said, I think both letters deserve a reply. Chris Wood says that I 'may be living in the slightly idealised world of a major city'. However, the whole point of the article was to talk about best practice at bus stops. Had I reined back from that, the article would have not suited its purpose.
