While Iveco has hooked itself into this single project, Volvo is on a mission to select city regions across Europe where it can identify partners prepared to help it install the infrastructure to support fleets of fast-charged hybrid and ultimately all-electric buses. In the UK, it is pursuing possible projects in Edinburgh, London and an unnamed part of the Midlands, but at Busworld announced the first such agreement in Europe, which will set up the infrastructure for up to twelve 7900H plug-in hybrid buses to operate on city routes.
