Buses storm to new passenger record

Disruption caused by the severe overnight storm on Sunday/Monday 27/28 October provided London Buses with its highest-ever passenger total on the Monday - 7.54million journeys. The evening peak (16.00 to 19.00) that brought the highest numbers - 30% more than normal - by which time ttubes, London Overground, Docklands Light Railway and national rail services almost all were running again.
