With the new Euro6 emissions limits taking effect from 31 December, you could be forgiven for thinking that the new technology would have dominated at Coach & Bus Live on 2/3 October when manufacturers exhibited their wares for UK buyers at the National Exhibition Centre. Forgiven, but - as things turned out - wrong. While Transport for London is mandating Euro6 on all new buses next year, the greater part of the operating industry is taking advantage of a derogation that will allow them to continue buying Euro5 well into 2014, perhaps even for longer.
