Ipswich competition to step up a gear

Competition between council-owned Ipswich Buses and First Eastern Counties looks set to step up a gear from 17 November when First makes changes to its Ipswich town network. These will be the first significant changes to First's enlarged town network, established in July 2012. Since then, Ipswich Buses modified its initial additional services, withdrawing retaliatory routes 6 A and 17 in eastern Ipswich after less than 12 months and reintroducing service 4 to Broke Hall and Bixley, which largely mirrored the withdrawn First 62. First's only changes have been tweaks to timetables and modifying part of route 70 to Warren Heath.
