Six Routemasters and a New Bus for London 'Borismaster' operated this year's special services across Wiltshire's isolated Salisbury Plain to the abandoned village of Imber on 3 August, attracting transport enthusiasts, the general public and local historians. Now in its fifth year, the one-day-a-year commercial Imberbus 23A serves normally closed roads through military ranges in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence and raised a record £2,300 for charity-£900 more than in 2012.
