The Southdown Enthusiasts Club continues to produce the little Miscellany booklets that I reviewed in the book section a couple of years ago. An interesting snippet in the latest was about an attempt by East Kent in the 1960s to provide integrated transport by co-ordinating its buses with trains at Herne Bay. As usual this was a onesided affair, with the bus company trying to serve the station at train times and hoping the train operator would not change them and with no co-operation from said train operator.
