London double-deckers fit to be sat upon in the lounge

John Wood is keen to share the images of supposedly London double-deckers that grace a cushion he bought at a country fair a couple of summers back. Most of them, take my word for it, are Routemasters in various poses, but these ones owe a bit more to creative licence. One appears as though it may be a Tilling ST with a three-piece upper saloon windscreen, while the representation of a long bonneted utility Guy appears to have gone through a fanciful modernisation with rubber-mounted glazing on its original livery. The mainly red early postwar Weymann-bodied creation with 'Charing Cross' on the blind is surely more Lancashire United than the passenger transport board that absorbed the original London United. But then, to the uninitiated, aren't all red double-deckers London ones and Routemasters to boot?
