Hess Swisstrolley3 from VK Modelle

Collectors of continental European model trolleybuses may be attracted by the latest 1:87-scale offering from German model manufacturer VK Modelle. This depicts three examples from the Stadtwerke Solingen (SWS) batch of 15 Hess Swisstrolley3 articulated buses, which replaced charismatic tri-axle MAN HO172 trolleys in 2009/10. These new three-door machines operate approximately 1.7km of route 683 in diesel mode, between Burg Rathaus and the Busbahnhof terminus, passing the now seldom used and unique trolleybus turntable on the way.
