South Lancashire Trolleybuses

The trolleybus system that was South Lancashire Transport was one of only seven operated postwar by a company. It interworked with St Helens Corporation and worked into Bolton, whose municipality owned the overhead there as well as four of SLT's trolleybuses. My personal acquaintance with SLT spanned but one day during the Whitsun weekend of 1958, while attending the first national rally of the Historic Commercial Vehicle Club at the Leyland works with the Vintage Passenger Vehicle Society's 1931 Gilford 168SD coach.
