摘要

Further to You Write last month, may I make two points in connection with the discussion that Julian Peddle's Inside Track article has started? First of all, when public money (e.g. Bus Service Operators Grant) is given or granted to private companies, the politicians - as the representatives of the people - have the right and duty to know how this money is used. Surely taxpayers can and should expect that this is the case. And it may be that the politicians perhaps have insights that bus professionals lack. Maybe they are passengers.
