This latest offering from Dennis Strange and Independent Transport "Videos is a double production: a 55min DVD mainly of New Routemasters in central London and a 28min bonus disk showing Chinese-built Routemaster-esque red halfcab double-deckers in Skopje, the capital of Macedonia. This second disk is particularly revealing, showing the dual-door/dual-staircase Yutong Citymasters at work from outside and on board. They have rear engines, a halfcab entered from the front platform and lines that somehow capture hints not just of the original Routemaster but also a Bristol Lodekka FLF. The rides on board are filmed upstairs (at the rear and front) and down, on two routes with contrasting topography. You hear them in action and see how the locals use them, showing none of the fear of venturing upstairs that scuppered attempts to introduce double-deckers to some other parts of Europe, Copenhagen especially.
