The Kingsbridge 7ft 6in Vintage Bus Running Day was back on the Saturday of the same weekend as the WHOTT gathering - on 20 September - renewing the opportunity for two consecutive days of classic bus activities in different parts of Devon. Participants in this seventh event in the South Hams included ECW-bodied Bristol SUL4A 286 KTA, originally Southern National 434 and restored to the Deltatours livery of the Guernsey Motor Company, where it operated after sale in 1979. The view through the windscreen was taken as it negotiated a narrow lane in the North Huish area while following a schoolbus route. Such narrow overgrown roads, with restricted views of oncoming traffic and often with grass growing in the middle, dictate the width of vehicles on many of the routes.
