The 1980s minibus revolution began in Exeter 1983, as this colour picture album acknowledges in a foreword by Harry Blundred, the Devon General managing director who went on to buy the company from the National Bus Company and was the foremost advocate of the use of minibuses in place of large vehicles. 'Buses were becoming larger in order to take more passengers on less frequent services,' he says. 'This completely contradicted my belief that little and often would be more successful.'
