Work proceeds on SWT Bridgemaster

Work is proceeding on the restoration of South Wales Transport AEC/Park Royal Bridgemaster 1203 (UCY 837) at the Swansea Bus Museum. The 1959 bus is one of four - out of 99 built - rear-entrance Bridgemasters in preservation and is the only one surviving from a Welsh fleet. The museum is holding a special event on 18 May to help FirstGroup celebrate the centenary of SWT. Among the resident restored SWT buses in operation at a museum open day on 23 February was 590 (423 HCY), a 1964 Weymann-bodied AEC Regent V.
