摘要

Go-Ahead Group, First, Stagecoach and National Express have been among the operators helping replace train services disrupted by devastating storms, floods and landslides across England and Wales in January and February. By mid-February, five Go-Ahead fleets were providing emergency services across large parts of southern and south-west England. Go South Coast had coaches in the Isle of Wight, Bournemouth, Salisbury and Devon. Plymouth Citybus drew in support from other group companies to help in Devon, while Oxford Bus Company - which also began a two-year rail replacement contract for Arriva-owned Chiltern Railways between Oxford and Bicester from 15 February - was running additional vehicles to provide an alternative to the flood-hit Oxford-London Paddington line.
