Action needed against drivers abusing photographers

On 14 September I went on a trip to photograph buses at Basildon bus station while Mrs Beard and clan went shopping. Now I have been following the debate over photographers and taking pictures in public places, and I will state here and now that as a former bus driver I never minded people taking pictures of me driving or indeed of my preserved bus, but my attitude to the drivers who object is one of if you do not like it get another job because it is a fact of life and goes with the territory.
