Wet end for King Alfred's New Year's Day friends

The Friends of King Alfred Buses' New Year's Day running day -the last in its present form - was graced, for want of a better word, by incessant rain and poor winter light, vindication of the organisers' plan for a new format for the event from 2015 on a date later into the year. Besides visiting buses and coaches, the customary selection of preserved King Alfred Motor Services vehicles was joined by AAA 756, the 1935 Abbott-bodied normal control Albion Victor PK114, which returned to Hampshire last year following a lengthy stay at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum.
