'We're averaging just short of 3,000 passenger movements a day currentiy,' he says. 'It's way beyond what we expected.' NAT launched the service in May, linking Culverhouse Cross and Pontprennau via the city centre, after identifying gaps in the Cardiff Bus network. The X1 provides bus access to major out-of-town stores at Culverhouse Cross and cross-city journeys that do not entail changing buses and walking to a different stop in the city centre.
