First UK showing for Van Hool's EX

For Van Hool, Coach & Bus Live was its first UK showing of the new entry level EX coach launched at last year's IAA show in Hannover and now being offered in right-hand-drive. This integral, with DAF MX11 engine, is built at the Belgian manufacturer's new plant at Skopje, Macedonia and is a lower cost alternative to the Belgian-built TX. It is available in the UK through the Arriva Bus & Coach dealership at Gomersal, West Yorkshire, which showed a left-hand-drive tri-axle EX16H, which is 13.26m long and 3.8m high. It has the 436hp version of the DAF engine. Arriva is selling it alongside the DAF-powered TX range, which in a recently announced new arrangement is also available from the Moseley group, which has recruited long serving Arriva sales manager Robert White to strengthen its sales team.
