First 'Dutch' StreetLites enter Danish service

Seven of the first VDL Citea MLE midibuses - left-hand-drive versions of the Wright StreetLite WF - have entered service in Denmark with two of Europe's largest bus groups. Swedish-owned Nobina has five operating in Greater Copenhagen on behalf of transport authority Movia, while French group Keolis (part owned by state railway SNCF) has two dual-door examples in northern Jutland. The Nobina vehicles, which came into use from 9 March, operate rural services around Frederiksvaerk in the northern part of Zealand. The Citea MLE is built by Wrightbus in Northern Ireland in a partnership with VDL, which sells it in mainland European markets. It has some unique design features primarily for the Dutch market.
