Late York Lodekka at Leeds Runday

Vehicles in action at the Leeds Classic Bus Runday on 21 August included York-West Yorkshire Road Car YDX221 (NWU 265D), a 1966 Bristol Lodekka FS6B, which was among the last of 890 examples of the 60-seat rear-entrance FS to be built. The Bristol BVW-engined FS6B was the most common variant, accounting for 45% of all FSs. York-West Yorkshire was the joint committee formed in 1932 for West Yorkshire Road Car to provide city services on behalf of York Corporation. Also in operation at the Runday was preserved Wallace Arnold VUB 396H, a 1970 Leyland Leopard PSU3A/4R with Plaxton Panorama Elite body.
