Whippet set to expand presence on Cambridge Busway

Whippet - part of the Australian family-owned Transit Systems group - has replaced Stagecoach on a frequent city service that is part-funded by the University of Cambridge. The 15min interval Universal route - U for short - replaced Stagecoach's 20min interval Uni4 service from 23 July. Linking Madingley Road park-&-ride, west Cambridge and Addenbrooke's Hospital on die south side of the city, it now serves the city's railway station, increasing the number of buses needed to maintain the service to five on weekdays when it operates to Addenbrooke's; it terminates at the station on Saturdays.
