Chief engineer for London United and London Sovereign

Rob Garrard has rejoined RATPDev London (London United and London Sovereign) as chief engineer following the retirement of Andy Morris after almost 50 years in the industry. Previously, Garrard was fleet engineer for Epsom Coaches and London United's Tolworth garage (both part of the RATP Dev group). Before that, he was an engineering manager for the Go-Ahead Group and worked at New Cross, Bexleyheath, Belvedere and Peckham garages. Previous roles outside the bus industry included a spell in the army repairing and maintaining helicopters. He will take overall responsibility for the entire technical side of RATP Dev London, including the management of day-to-day engineering issues, the bus refurbishment programme at Stamford Brook and apprentice training and development. He is particularly interested in apprentice training and improving it even farther to produce top quality, highly skilled technicians.
