Stagecoach ups competition in Plymouth

Stagecoach South West increased competition with Go-Ahead owned Plymouth Citybus after reviewing its Plymouth network from 1 May. Its 2/A (Saltash-city centre-Mount Batten) halved to every 20min in Mount Batten -where it faces no competition - with the 2A instead serving Elburton village every 20min with faster journeys than Citybus's existing four buses an hour on route 5/A (St Budeaux-city centre-Elburton). Despite this, competition remains restricted to three key city corridors.
