Transdev launches two city expresses

Transdev Blazefield has followed up its £3.3million investment in new double-deckers for Harrogate by upgrading two express services on either side of the Pennines, with the 12 vehicles cascaded from the relaunched service 36 (Ripon-Leeds). In York, five of the Wright Eclipse Gemini-bodied Volvo B7TLs have been upgraded with 4G WiFi (the fastest available) and USB power connectors at each seat. They retain 2+1 upstairs coach seating to launch the City Zap service between York and Leeds. After picking up at six stops in York, this runs nonstop to Leeds city bus station with the driver selecting the fastest route from an onboard satellite navigation kit.
