TfL needs to allow more running time

Transport for London awards operators five-year tendered service contracts, which can be extended by two years for good performance. During the five years, traffic problems and passenger loadings increase, such that journeys cannot be performed with the original running time. Drivers, supervisors and schedulers accede to this.
