Ebusco says it can match diesel lifetime costs

Ebusco, the Dutch company selling Chinese-built electric city buses in Western Europe, says it can now deliver a vehicle with the same total cost of ownership over 10 years as a diesel. Chief executive officer Peter Bijvelds says this includes providing the charging infrastructure and assumes that the vehicle will be kept for 10 years and will cover 75,000km (46,600miles) a year. All battery charging, to achieve a range of between 250 and 300km (155 and 186miles), will be carried out overnight.
