RATP's Extrapolitan quits New York sightseeing

Extrapolitan, the global sightseeing arm of French state-owned RATP Dev, has quietly exited the highly competitive open-top tour business in New York. It launched its Open Loop operation in May 2014 with a fleet of Alexander Dennis Enviro400s painted in a red, white and blue livery influenced by the stars and stripes of the United States flag and by the middle of last year had nearly 40 vehicles including additional Enviro400s and US-built Gilligs.
