Further to Scottish Column last month, post buses in Britain lasted a little longer than you reported, as the withdrawal the last service — Talmine-Tongue-Lairg — on 19 August fell 50 years and six months after the first started at Llanidloes on 20 February 1967. Both the regular and reserve vehicles on this last route were Vauxhall Combo four-seaters.
